Fashion Week
One of two of the most exciting times for the fashion industry. This year the crazy week started on September 6 th- Sptember12, 2008. Bryant Park, white tents, celebrities and the fashion elite. Who could ask for more? Sadly, I am here in Delaware but my heart flutters as each hour passes with the thought that a new designer is unveiling their line. Already Spring 2009 is here, the presence of full skirts, mini dresses, thin sweaters and elongated silhouettes are all the buzz. Here are some of my favorite highlights so far:
Alexander Wang Bryant Park, Tent September 6: 1pm
His collection was dark and wet and combined leather and denim fabrics with a classic American feel.
Diane Von Furstenberg Bryant Park Tent, September 7: 4pm
Of course she designed to please and incorporated her colorful fabrics, LOVED IT!
Tracy Reese September 7: 12pm
She came out with a the fab dresses, check out the black one above.
Monique Lhullien September 9: 11:00 am
BETSEY JOHNSON BRYANT PARK TENT, SEPTEMBER 9: 2 pm
This is my love and she delivered the goods for spring. She put a whimsical spin on wedding dresses and created more modern looks with bright colors and prints. I know everyone is going to copy her collection when spring comes along and I personally can not wait till more pictures are released.
Oscar de la Renta September 10: 1 pm
Ralph Lauren, Skylight Studio NYC, 10 am
PROJECT RUNWAY SEASON FINALE: September 12: 9am
I can not wait till this, unfourtuneatly we will not be seeing the end till later.
